You know what the most hype shit would be? A Tsuburya showa heroes game developed by sandlot, the developers behind Earth Defense Force. Imagine it, being able to play as a patrol member with a myriad of weapons designed to take down all sorts of kaiju or playing as a Tsuburya Hero like any of the classic M78 Ultramen or Redman or Fireman or Mirrorman! You could choose to fight any Kaiju from the classic line up and fight as them if you want to. All in a city or a quarry![

Belial is the only Dark Ultra to carry the title of "Ultraman," but he isn't the only one.

Not really. Leo is a much darker and more serious show that is tonally quite different from most of the franchise. Leo himself also operates a bit differently, being more reliant on choreographed martial arts than grappling and fancy beam attacks.

If you want an Ultra show that gives you a good taste of the franchise as a whole, try the original Man, Tiga, or Max. I'd also recommend Seven with the caveat that it's also one of the darker Ultras. If you really want to watch Leo, then Seven actually might be a good choice since Moroboshi is a major character in Leo and they kind of fit tonally.

What's the general consensus for Orb the Origin Saga here? I just finished it and thought it was absolute trash. The story was awful, the characters were all dumbshits outside of the guest ultramen, and the battles were so lame that they literally fight the same bug kaiju at least 80% of the show. The "romance", the villain's motivation, the origin behind Juggler, etc... Everything was absolutely what SHOULDN'T be for a backstory to Orb. Only positives were Dyna using Strong Form and the Gaia/Agul bro buddies teamwork, but it wasn't enough to make me feel good about wasting 6 hours on this crapfest.

So I've been watching Ultraman Gaia, and I don't think there's ever been a Tokusatsu series that is as under appreciated as Gaia. It starts off good, then it hits a small slump, but then it does nothing but throw 10/10s at you nonstop. It reminds me a lot of Ultraseven in how is focuses on aspects of human nature, including its flaws as well as its strengths. Everything feels relative, even when Agul is being antagonistic. I'm on episode 40, and I'm hyped to see it to the end.

I have to say, The Radical Destruction Bringer is one of my favorite Ultraman villains, and yet you never see it. I love how despite the sheer force of kaiju on its side, it plays the long game. It understands that the greatest way to strike down an enemy is from within, and instead of something cliche'd like mind control, it subtly plants seeds of self-doubt and paranoia into the human race. Heck, most of the damage to the earth and man so far has been hellbent militants, a wayward scientist, and bigoted and terrified mobs. My personal favorite thing so far is how it sent a monster into Agul's computer program and falsified the equation, causing "humans" to keep coming up as the reason the earth will die out. This is what causes Agul to try to hard to wipe out humans. Even better, it manipulated Agul into fighting Gaia, causing a wormhole that brought a monster too big to arrive on its own.
It doesn't give any villain speeches, any big monologues, and praise to itself. When it finally does speak, it basically says "This planet is going to die, whether you like it or not."

Easily one of my favorite Ultraman villains.

He barely used any of his fusion forms after getting Origin (or rather, getting it back). I just recall him using Thunder Breaster once briefly to finish something off then cycling through his forms in order during the final fight with Maga-Orochi. I imagine Geed will go the same way once he gets Mega Master.

So I'm at the part where Agul is back and on Gamu's side.
So Fujiyima stopped being Agul because he gave the powers of Agul to Gaia, so Gaia basically had a fusion form of Gaia and Agul. There's even an episode implying that both spirits were in Gamu's device, and he talks to both.
So how did Fujiyima get the power of Agul back if it's still with Gaia?
