>It was reported that veteran composer Seiji Yokoyama passed away due to pneumonia last Saturday at the age of 82. A funeral service was held in Fuchu on Monday.
>The veteran composer made his debut by composing the ending theme of The Adventures of Hutch the Honeybee. He will be later be known for his work in the Saint Seiya anime franchise. His work for said franchise earned him a JASRAC award in 1992.
>His other anime work include: Ginguiser, Space Pirate Captain Harlock, and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV. Outside of anime, he composed tunes for various tokusatsu shows, such as: Choujinki Metalder, Special Rescue Police Winspector, and Choriki Sentai Ohranger.

I know, I heard about this a little while ago. The OST for Harlock was great, and his toku tunes are catchy too. 2017 seems like a harsh year...we've lost a lot of /m/ greats, first the artist for VOTOMs (Norio Shioyama) and now the Harlock composer too. It's tough these days :(

A sad passing. Yesterday (when I found out) I've been listening to my Saint Seiya compilation, and I'll probably do the same for a few days. I even called a fellow SS fan to talk about it, we were both sad about the news.
