Hello everyone, french /m/an here. Japan Expo just ended yesterday and Keizo Murase who worked on Daimajin, Gamera and Godzilla v. King Kong attended the conv for whatever reason. He had a pretty big stand too, shame no one was interested in meeting him. I don't think it's a stretch to say that I was one of the few who went there for a meet and greet for arguably a big figure in Tokusatsu. Made me feel pretty sad for the guy (whose old as fuck too, took a picture with him if anyone wants to know what he looks like). Here is a autograph from the man itself. Couldn't talk to him since I went there during my workshift.
Let's pay homage to this great guy.

Well since this post is not very interesting, I will at least put the conference he had given.

Good video, sad story. It really makes you think how shitty is the mainstream public nowadays, even inside Japan...
In Brazil, toku scenario has its own space because of pre-Saban shows, like France did (specially Metal Heroes). However, even here people are used to the same actors (Hiroshi Watari, Takumi Tsutsui, Shouhei Kusaka, Tetsuo Kurata...). Old guys from golden days of Showa Era are not recognizable even among these tokufans. Only hardcore guys catch it.
In the very end, japs only want kawai animes (/jp/ speaks for itself) and non-japs only want DC-Marvel-Star Wars shit, not even heisei toku. Showa era? Hard. Early Showa era? Nearly impossible.
