As far as being an iconic design, he's right though. Yes, I know there's a few differences, but a 2nd spiked shoulder and different chest piece aren't enough to move it outside the Zakus shadow. It's like the old and new X-Wings, there are noticeable differences, but one of them is an iconic design, and the other is just a variation of an iconic design.

In Japan, probably the Acguy. That thing gets almost as much merch and variations as the Zaku II at this point.
