I dont know alot, but i was wondering why zeta gundam and double zeta feel like almost completely different shows, im only 20 into zz but feels alot less serious for a show which uses battleships exploding as a transitional scene

Rumor said Tomino was only handling that part forward directly. Because Z and ZZ was airing back-to-back they had their young staffs to work on the early episodes until Tomino return doing them himself.
Still just a rumor though, need confirmation on the credit staff throughout those episodes.
