It's a private tracker now. If their server doesn't know your IP, you won't get any peers. You wouldn't even be able to use DHT because the private bit is set in the torrent, which would change the hash. Just save the link and wait for registration/invites/whatever to open up.

Interesting - are you sure you're only connected to the BBT tracker? Does your client show numbers of seeders/leechers attached to the torrent? If your numbers match the official ones, then there's something they haven't closed up yet.
