Four complains about missing her memories, but we never see what she was like before. The Titans completely fucked Rosamia up for the sake of a half-baked plan, because they were desperate enough to try anything.

The first 5 episodes of ZZ are literally the same plot. They get attacked, Fa forgot how to use the Z, they have to beg Judeau to save them in exchange of all the food and stuff they already gave him, eventually he does and kicks the ass of experienced pilots on the first try. 5 times.
Then you have 10 episodes of two guys trying to sell the Z to the enemy and being forgiven over and over again.Then things start to happen but if you consider the goals they have its all filler.

The first few episodes of ZZ were to show that Judau had street smarts and was a very talented newtype, legitimizing the need for his presence on the Argama.
Kamille quite literally never got ANY development at the start that justifies him being an ace pilot. Jerid and all the other pilots were trained veterans and Kamille fucking wipes the floor with them *SEVERAL* times in the first episodes despite there being absolutely no reason why he was that good.

I don't have Z super fresh in my head, but aren't the first three episodes presenting Kamille's family, how they are tied to the federation, killing them, the new big enemy of the show, making them evil, Emma changing sides, that guy starting to fall for Emma, explaining why the Mk.II is the basis for mobile armors and Kamille working on the blue prints of Z?
Z doesn't have episodic plots, but I can understand if you feel like soap opera plot isn't progression. And Z is a big soap opera first and foremost.

He doesn't overpower in every way a war hero that was on Char level by ep 3.

He's still a shonen hero so he'll obviously have plot armor. The original point was that stuff happens in Z while ZZ has copy pasted scripts and takes 10 episodes to reach very basic goals.
