>Char being shown drinking during Garma's funeral while calling him a brat
Was that Tomino's way of showing Char trying cope with having to betray Garma?
He's not really coping with it. He's been booted from Dozle's command. He's doing the standard recently laid off working man thing and drinking at a bar.
Char is a man of the people, after all.
Not everything has to make sense. Maybe he just wanted to show off how cool char is.

He just got demoted before that.
>>15620667
You genuinely have autism
>>15620622
He never betrayed anyone
>>15620622
Probably.
Char may be a shortsighted, petty, vengeful little bastard, but he does have his human side.
I've seen quite a few jap movies from the 60's and 70's, they usually showed adult men drinking in bars. Like, an american movie would use it to set that space for a future scene, or suggest the character is either a drunk or a badass. In japanese movie it was the automatic set for "scene that comes after work".
You can still sort of see it with the after parties, but it's become more of a celebration thing instead of the obvious thing you do between work and going home all by yourself.
>>15620622
No, Char's celebrating.

This
I wouldn't think any more into it. I don't think Tomino was obsessed with lore back then as much as we might think.
>>15620622
This is a good theory.
>>15620824
It's a well known fact that char is an insane hypocrite
>>15620824
>>15622906
He betrayed Sayla
>>15620824
You know, I wonder how many people Char actually did betray before Garma. Five or six?
Its almost as if Char is a delusional retard.
>>15620711
No need to be so generous, anon. People you don't like couldn't possibly have any feelings deserving sympathy. Don't let those bastards take advantage of your kind understanding nature.
>>15622906
It sure is a well-known meme.
>>15622924
It\s almost as if you are a delusional retard.

Why are charfags so sensitive?
The only explanation for char's character is that he is fucking insane. He can hide it behind coolness and charisma but he's real wacko.
>>15620657
Wasn't he gathering info at that bar?
>>15620675
His answer was the literal opposite of autistic
>>15624452
This is what I was also thinking but didn't feel like flaming a Charfag.
>>15624421
Dunno. Why are Charhaters so insensitive?
>>15624977
Because this is the internet.
