So I finished Casshern sins recently
Figured I wouldn't like it, since I liked the original show a lot, but ended up surprisingly enjoying it.
What did you guys think?

What weirds me out is why Casshern keeps getting these grimdark reboots. I mean, the original Casshern was just a dude who fought robots. He wasn't a murderer like the Skullman or something.
And yet he gets the Casshern live-action movie, where he's a war criminal and the entire cast dies. Then there's Casshern Sins, which gets all kinds of esoteric at the end.
It's not like the character was inherently edgy. He didn't have the Pinocchio thing that went with Kikaider, the horror movie roots of Kamen Rider, or a particularly scary costume. His main villain was called Braiking Boss, for fuck's sake.

Aesthetically speaking is very nice. Excellent start. Great setting.
It gets lost halfway because many episodes are repetitive, and so are the fights with Dio. Leda is exploited badly. Perhaps it would have worked better with 12 episodes.

DEVOUR CASSHERN

He does have the angsty "gave up his humanity" element to him.
I only remember the BLACKED episode.
