Haven't started any of these in a while...

I recently got ahold of an incredibly rare anime OST to a 1984 anime film by Tatsunoko Productions called "Chikyuu Monogatari Telepath 2500." Somebody talked about it on here a few months ago and the plot summary looked intriguing, so I decided to go check it out. The film is alright but the OP of that thread wasn't kidding when he said that a lot of characters die in it

Anyways, some of the music sounded pretty decent, so I got myself a vinyl copy of it a few weeks ago. There's a couple of BGM tracks that were used in the film that sadly weren't on the soundtrack, but I guess I'm okay with whatever was put on the OST. Side B is probably the side that has the best music in my opinion

Side A:
https://mega.nz/#!3s9GwLoI!4PqsbBmVwQHV4so2dGxgTE_VAt7mqpweVSCN2rR_9DI

Side B:
https://mega.nz/#!y8sWxYrb!HiH8jqHK5KIXwHgo_BIZvrn1lE9Ce70ZJx6qq7s4Ph0

Enjoy. Tomorrow I'll post HQ pics of the album cover and insert booklet...it has some interesting drawings by Yoshitaka Amano.

If anybody else has some other OSTs they'd like to post here, go for it.

Here are some samples of the album to give people an idea of what to expect in the OST:

Insert Song: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Kv1jo8A5vg

BGM: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EVp456V3fcU

ED: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UDj-K-1-IvY

Unfortunately my amp has gotten worse to the point where the music clips now (I can kinda fix it in my audio editing program though), but I'll still post other unedited vinyl OST rips on here anyways.

I'll try and post pic-related next after I post the album pics tomorrow of the 2500 OST. I think it's some kind of image album based off some SF manga but I'm not too sure

Just finished Gundam X. Overall it, was alright. Midway through the 2nd arc things just become sort of a mess, but they were able to wrap it up in the end fairly nicely.

I gotta say both endings for the show is pretty comfy. Maybe almost as comfy as the Orguss Opening. Extremely asian-market-core ballads that's for sure, which makes me a bit nostalgic.

Tracklist and other info can be found here, but it's in Japanese:
http://s.webry.info/sp/69491180.at.webry.info/201406/article_15.html

I tried using Google Translate to read it. Apparently some company in Japan used to do this thing back in the 80s where you would call a number and it would set up a game for you to play where you press the dialpad to perform various actions. This is the original soundtrack to one of those games, it seems...

There's a few good tracks in the album but overall it's not really that good to be honest.

This is an image album based off a manga of the same name that takes place in a futuristic U.S.A.. According to its Wikipedia page (and some terrible translation by Google Translate), it's a romantic-comedy story about a girl with ESP powers who falls in love with a young astronaut who works for NASA.

The music itself is actually pretty good. With the exception of the first song, it's mainly composed by Eiji Kawamura (composer for KR Black and Tobikage), but there's also two songs composed and arranged by Makoto Matsushita (arranged the OP/ED for L-Gaim and also made some solo albums of his own in the 80s).

Enjoy. There's a second album to this, which I'll be posting later

To anybody that wants to request an OST here:

It'd be cool if you guys could try searching for the OST on Google first before requesting it here afterwards. I don't have a problem with people requesting, but there's quite a few albums I've posted links to on this thread that were easily found with a quick Google search. If you HAVE already spent some time searching it on Google and could still not find it, then by all means feel free to request here.

Not trying to single anybody out or anything, but personally I prefer searching for an actual hard-to-find OST that somebody has requested instead of an album that can be found on the first page of Google.

Anyways...I'll be posting the 2nd image album to "Fly Me To The Moon!" in a bit.

This is a continuation to the other image album that I posted here, so there's not much to say about it...except for the music.

While the first album excelled in its vocal tracks, this one is definitely better when it comes to the instrumental tracks. With the exception of the first song, the entire album is arranged by Nozomi Aoki and Kohei Tanaka! Pretty amazing if you ask me. There's also a few more American-composed tracks in here (check out the samples to see what I mean), and new arranged versions of two tracks from the previous album (Nostalgic Spaceman and Time Trip).

Nozomi Aoki did actually help arrange Jam Trip Urusei Yatsura Vol. 2 & 3, so if this album ends up sounding like a Jam Trip album...now you know why.

>>
>>15631192
It varies with each album, as each album has a different artist/band that performs the music. Some of the albums are jazzy while others are funky, but for the most part they're rearranged versions of various BGM/theme songs from old anime shows/movies.

Jam Trip Macross and Lupin III are both performed by Akira Ishikawa & Count Buffalos. They're REALLY good at making jazz music, so I'd recommend them to you if you haven't listened to them yet

I hate to ask, but in an archived thread you mentioned that you had schell bullet/thanaph 68? I can't seem to find much on your mega account, would you mind providing a link? Much appreciated.

Alright, I googled that I can split them with Audacity. But I can't find a plugin Silence Finder. Can anyone just give the .dll?

You'll probably just want to do it manually.
And steal a copy of Audition 1.5 because Audacity a shit.

I'd better make a cue file then. Less work.

I wouldn't say it's dead, to be exact. The "download unavailable" thing has happened to me in the past before with other files, but it didn't take that long for those files to finishing restarting and repairing itself.

If it's still not back up by tonight, I'll start looking for a new link.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a8rtrt9B6J8

Album pics:
https://mega.nz/#F!jgMQSZTB!8U7qmWhVD4V8RGUzrgQ1tw

This is an original image album based off a series of SF novels by Keisuke Fujikawa, and also a continuation of a previous Roman Trip album that I posted here before (I think) named "Roman Trip Ginga Sousei Kiden Seisenshi Killy". This album had a lot of potential to be good, but unfortunately a majority of the tracks sound pretty boring. I guess it probably explains why it's incredibly difficult to find.

Enjoy.

Ripped by "theturokfanboy" from the FFShrine forums.

Those of you who already browse through FFShrine might have downloaded this a long time ago, but I thought I'd just post this here in case anybody on /m/ might've been looking for it.

Next thing I'll be posting is a FLAC version of a Megazone 23 image album before uploading an incredibly rare 80s OST by Kohei Tanaka.

Pics taken by (and ripped in FLAC by) FFShrine user "pumiliani".

This is the incredibly rare original soundtrack to the 1987 OVA of the same name, composed by Kohei Tanaka (except for the last track) and performed by APPO SOUND PROJECT. Unfortunately I don't have much to say about the OVA since I don't remember it that much, but the music's really good! Highly recommend if you like 80s synth.

Enjoy!
