I couldn't agree more. Most people that hate on it have never actually watched it.

It's basically a meme to shit on it, like the way Trekkies shit on the reboots despite them being mostly good films, and certainly no worse then large parts of the different TV series.

It's the standard acceptable target, in my view mostly because characters make a lot of dumb and self-destructive decisions. These decisions may be properly justified, but a lot of people don't care when it's just easier to hate on them.
