What's the best way you've seen a mech be transported to battle?
>>15582922
orbital strike
Whoops wrong thread
G gundam of course
ON ANOTHER MECH
>>15582941
>mini-Asshimars
Cute!

Parachuting from the skies.
>>15583148
so dumb haha
>>15583162
How is that dumb?
>>15583179
Judging from the way his post is typed, I'm pretty sure he's just literally retarded.
>>15582955
>Asshimars
Motherfucker those aren't asshimars.
>>15582922
Train
>>15582962
The mobile armor is also powered by two separate Gundam TR-6 units
>>15583450
shop all those guys into GMs lol
>>15582955
yeah those MSs attached are upgraded Woundwort Gundams
Just to show the size of the Inle
>>15582922
Dedicated Aircraft Carrier

>Parachuting into heavily-defended enemy territory DURING THE DAY
What the fuck? At least the Americans waited until night for Overlord.
>>15582930
Came here to post this, glad to see someone beat me to it. Love the Tonbo.
>>15582927
>Mazinkaiser causing a giant explosion upon landing in the movie
>Literally every time Dann of Thursday is summoned, even weaponizing the fall with the sword mode sometimes
Love that shit
>>15583179
A M551 weighs 15 tons and were dropped unmanned with multiple parachutes (as is generally the case with all airdropped vehicles)
Those zakus weigh 60 tons and are being dropped manned with a single parachute.
You could probably airdrop a mobile suit because they have rockets which could be used to to soft land, without doing that the landing would be pretty lethal to the pilot with just the parachute.
>>15583863
>applying real world weight and gravity to a series about giant robots walking and jumping 40 feet into the air
>>15582922
Titanfall would've been so much cooler with this alternate Cold War setting over the most generic sci-fi shit imaginable.
I have a real softspot for mecha that could be separated, folded up, or laid on a trailer bed and driven around. It's just so simple and sensible.
>>15583210
>>15583608
Don't you two feel silly now?
How does it feel to get BTFO'd?
>>15584086
Was going to post this. All the gundam parts are pretty handy for a futuristic mech.
>>15584086
Weapons of war on Trucks is my fetish
>>15582922
drop pods
although i prefer pods that stay intact
>>15582922
Just put rockets on it nigga
I'd paint it red just to be safe too
On its own wheels
I like the Setters from Victory Gundam.
>>15585214
Seconding this, they were really cool and not used nearly enough.
>>15584086
This is actually a big part of Dougram; all humanoid Combat Armors can be broken into around ~6 parts and placed into containers for shipping, plus, many are carried around on flatbed type trucks, and one of these said trucks effectively acts as the Fang of the Sun's base.
You also have the Maverick helicopters often used to haul Combat Armors around, which are pretty cool.
I like the fact that mobile suits in UC Gundam series were hauled around on fucking flatbeds from combat zone to combat zone during Earth-based ops. Unless you were Amuro or any of those other assholes with fancy transports or flying MS.
Train
Don't see it often (only one I can think of is Big O)
By Hell diving
There's not enough underwater mecha, a shame become coming up from shore impossible for normal vehicle is the best things they could do
Reminder the Arm Slave from FMP can be flown unto place or fired inside a missile (yes)

They are from the developmental line as both the Hazel and the Asshimer. They're essentially the love child of the two.
>>15585234
>>15585230
This is pretty cool.
>>15585257
King Gainer as well has robots on trains.
>>15582922
Captain Earth's launch sequence was consistently the best fucking part of the show.

I'm sorry?

The M9s and Arbalest in Full Metal Panic! are sent in missiles.

The MS and MA that come out of Advance of Zeta are the kind of weapons you ban in international treaties.

Launched out from a big flying carrier via catapult deck, like with the Argama, or pic related.
>>15584277
What Mango?
Lots and lots of helicopters.
>Not traveling above an elaborate rail system wherever you go so your mecha always has the element of surprise
>>15583618
Yeah, and then did daytime drops for market garden.... which went well...
SNIPE HUNT TIME
What mecha is there who just teleport into place?
Futuristic FTL drive and magical invocation allowed
>>15588337
The mechs in Brain Powerd did short range quick teleports to boost their flying around.
>>15588274
Holland was not crawling with dedicated AA units, such as Normandy was. The two operations are not comparable in terms of initial shock to invading forces.
>>15583618
Zeeks lived their whole life in space. They probably miscalculated the timing by not taking into account the timezones on Earth
>>15585234
Love how it's just two giant engines put together with the cockpit being an afterthought

>Not Sky Cranes
wtf, the Chinook is a personnel transport, the most it could sling load carry is maybe a wheeled howitzer, the Sky Crane is what you use to lug shit around.

Since hard mode can be considered more canon than normal, the VOB is actually pretty dangerous, or the engineering team hates you.
By AMIDA.
>>15589550
That thing is so stupid, I love it.
>>15591190
Considering that the people you're contracting for misrepresent or outright lie about the situation they're sending you into, it's not a surprise that it's so dangerous.
>>15588238
To save our mother Earth from ANY alien attack!
>>15591190
I think its more likely that they just strap the rockets and hope for the best
>>15591228
What did they misrepresent? Isn't the first time against the battle of Motherwill and they tell you it's a rotting hunk of junk, and it is.
>>15588337
Demonbane is the only one that comes to mind since its put into a horror chamber and then teleported, I also like that the teleportation causes a fuck ton of colateral damage to the are he is teleported at
>>15588337

>>15589584
From that angle it looks kind of like good old Thunderbird 2.
Speaking of which, Thunderbird 2's a pretty fab method of transport.

>RX-78-2 and Crossbone X1 cameos ride the rockets up
>This exact scene is replicated later in Crossbone itself, just with beam shields on to protect against burning up in the ascent
>>15589534
Fun fact, you actually see Not-Skycranes in Dougram, too, in the form of the Helatt-3 Bonefish.
They're usually used to carry combat armors like Crab Gunners or Ironfoots and have an attachable container for passengers as well.

FFS mechs.

This.
>>15584578
this shit is so simple yet so beautiful.
>>15591228
even if they are asshole, I love how sometimes you can attack a facility they own, just to be contracted a couple of moments later to defend the same facility you nearly destroy from your original contractor.
via mongolian "horses"
/m/ related, I'd say emerging from a subterranean passage.

Railgun that can fire them halfway across the planet at full power
>>15595982
At that point why not use the railgun itself as a weapon to deliver projectiles that directly destroy the enemy?
>>15596479
Because the other method is cooler.
