I disagree wholeheartedly.
IBO had some rough spots animation-wise, but it also had some gorgeous scenes as well. The designs were amazing, the story was good overall with some low spots and some awesome parts, and the ending was perfect.

Unfortunately no. It had potential, a lot of it, but it dropped the ball pretty hard in several ways. If they wanted the audience to side with Kio in saying that the Vagans were worth saving, they should have spent more time showing non-psychotic Vagans. All we actually got was one Vagan spy who was trying to keep her little sister alive, and one little girl that Kio was trying to keep alive, and her brother who later becomes psychotic after she dies. Not to mention having the Char clone go FULL EVIL without some legitimate character-altering experience like Ezelcant mindwiping him or something.

G-Reco wasn't too complicated, it was just boring. I wanted a war and all I got was a class field trip.

Yeah, I know. That knowledge doesn't make the show any more entertaining, though. Raraiya being tardorable was entertaining enough to keep me coming back, but after her miraculous recovery I just couldn't care anymore.
