So pretty much every martial unit of any kind until the 20th Century. Camouflage on everything is a recent phenomenon prevalent because of increasing range of artillery. More sophisticated detection technology will basically make it pointless though, since blending in to the environment in human visual range won't offer any advantage to units only detecting you via infra red or whatever.
