The worst part of Sinanju is the arms. Not only are they comically stubby, they also suffer from the awful curling elbow syndrome because the forearm guards can't rotate to the side, so it's always stuck in the back of the arms which looks silly as hell.

The Sinanju is appealing in the way a pop song is appealing. You can see it hitting all the right chords but it's uninspired, so there just isn't much to say about it.

I personally liked the simplicity of it, and the concept that it was just an ultra fast Zeek-converted Gundam with a long rifle (obvious harkback to the Gerbera Tetra). There was something cool about the idea that (clone) Char would decide not to use fannels because he's just a sick shot

Sinanju's claim to fame wasn't the design, it was the MG ver Ka. Back then that was considered one of, if not the greatest MG's ever. While it technically isn't, it was a big 7000 yen kit with lots of bells and whistles that made it a must-have for many people, and it looked quite good as a kit. It also set the precedent for how utterly insane ver Ka decals could go. It topped even the MG Ex-s as the most "must-have" Master Grade kit.

Unfortunately the kit has not aged very well. Nowadays, even the RG, which is both smaller and half the price, has the gold trim as plastic pieces as opposed to the MG's cheap foil stickers. Thanks to beasts like the Nu and Sazabi ver Ka, we've forgotten all about the Sinanju.

Definitely not. The Sinanju is bulky, and if you look at any image of a Sinanju side by side next to any mobile suit, especially Zeon ones, it is huge and towering. It is definitely sleeker compared to Zeon suits, but definitely not slimmer.

It's definitely slim. I mean look at your picture man. It's WAAAAY taller than the rx-78-2, but if you overlay them it's really not that much wider than it for how much taller it is. It's especially apparent if you don't consider the backpack or shoulders of it.

As a matter a fact, I picture a meeting during the early production days of Unicorn, Hajime Kaioki walks into a Bandai office, he is given a coffee with a little bit of cream added to it. Katoki sits down and on the other side of the table are 3 or 4 Sunrise/Bandai bigshots.

Sinanju made the sleeve's arm details really pop. As the OAV went on it did less and less interesting stuff until it just didn't seem special any more.

It's not a bad suit design, it's just too familiar and Unicorn has become too whored out as a suit for any one to appreciate the OAVs any more. It's like when you hear the same song over and over by 1 band. It doesn't matter how good the rest of their music is, you're still sick of them
