Does anyone know where I can download EG's Space Runaway Ideon? Magnet links aren't working.

Thank you!
Not OP, but is there any alternative for Be Invoked other than ShinGetter?
>>15540048
Is there any other release with their subs? 800 MB/episode is ridiculous
>>15543352
Nah, though there is a Blu-ray release with their OCRed subs on it.
>>15543803
Iirc, NakamaSubs re-encodes some EG stuff for people with low capacity drives.
>>15543852
Is there a link to this group? Googling only turned up a really awful Vocaloid youtube channel
>>15543803
The translator made LQ versions himself.

Search for "NakamaSub" on nyaa.pantsu.cat
>>15543864
Ahh I was wrong. NakamaSub's EG re-encodes were the EG DVD rips.
>>15543821
Link please?
>>15543989
Nevermind, found the rip by HACK-JOB. I wonder if there are still some seeders.
was just looking for this
how much is really missed out on on the movies

Watch the series then the second film.

>fitting 38 episodes in a single movie
>>15551681
I haven't watched Ideon at all, but I've been told multiple times that it's an extremely repetitive show without too many developments. If that's the case, I'm unsure as to why a single movie wouldn't suffice.
>>15551709
Watch it and figure it out for yourself then.
What's wrong with 38 episodes? Do you have to finish it in one night?
>>15551721
Well, I've heard it described as a bad show far more often than the opposite, and as such, I'd prefer to just learn the essential information to watch Be Invoked and then come back to watch the show proper if I find myself enjoying the rest enough. And if I haven't enjoyed myself enough, that's less time I've wasted.
>>15551745
It's fairly repetitive, but I'd say it's not without reason.
The buff clan slowly grows more desperate as their leadership slowly gets grinded down with nothing to show for it, the humans slowly realize they've messed up completely, by relying on Ideon as they find out more about it, and it slowly starts becoming more sentient.
They probably could have cut an episode or three, but overall I'd say the "repetitive nature" fits the narrative of the series. Also the last ten or so episodes are really fucking good, it goes from a macross/harlock-esk show to something genuinely fantastic as the ending approaches.
>>15551745
No, watching A Contact wouldn't be sufficient to fill in the blank because it only adapts the series until the 33rd episode iirc. Seriously, watch the series, it may be similar with Gundam 0079 for the first few episode but just like this anon said >>15551772 watching all of the 39 episode and Be Invoked is really worth your time.

Now, if only someone can give me the link to the Ideon OST I'd die a happy man.
WILL SOMEBODY PLEASE FUCKING SEED THE BRIAN POWERD OST COLLECTION
>>15551745
That isn't going to work. A summary movie would miss the vast majority of the value of the series, even if it were good (which A Contact is not), and Be Invoked isn't going to be worth much outside of eye candy without knowing the full context. It'd be like watching Alien starting from the shuttle scene, having read a summary of the rest.
Ideon isn't bad, it's just slow. Necessarily so, considering what they were going for (though there's certainly some fat that could be trimmed).

First: you've been talking to the wrong people.
Second: the things that would drive you away from Ideon and the things that are worthwhile about it are mostly the same. It's a slow paced show about things getting inexorably more and more terrible. If you speed it up, there isn't any point to it, anymore.

ooh, nice take on it
but yeah I totally agree
the series drags at times but the movie is Cliffs Notes of Lovecraft
It's gonna rise
It rises
Everybody dies
The end.
The character interactions surrounding cosmic horror being unleashed is really where it's at.

Bumping for the OST.
