First off gundam is split into AU's and UC

What your reading is UC. if you want to stay in UC just look up whats in it and follow it in either cronological or production order, it doesnt really matter.

AU's you can watch whenever, I would skip seed and X until you watch most of UC. Skip Turn a until you've seen everything before it production wise. And skip build fighters until you've seen a few more series

I don't know why everyone says this, all you miss out on by not doing this is a few fanservice nods to older suits in the last few episodes

Just watch it whenever and then go back and rewatch the episode where they see the dark history later if you care about the cameos
