>it's been 7 years since the last super robot anime
How do you cope with the entire subgenre being dead?
Gyrozetter was 2013 though
>>15509889
Cars exist, therefore it's a real robot show
>>15509875
It's not the last, just the last notable one.
>>15509875
DAIMIDALER though.
>>15509907
but skulls exist too
>>15510004
Exactly
Therefore Mazinkaiser SKL is a real robot anime
>>15509940
You would think giant robots and monsters would have a everlasting appeal to kids but I guess not.
There was Regalia last year. Now I don't want to create any quality arguments. But OP said "last Super Robot show". He didn't set any minimum quality requirements. And Regalia was Super Robot.
There were also
Bubuki Buranki
Time Bokan 24 (which has a 2nd season for fall after BnHA S2 ends)
This season we have the Tomica show
>>15510097
Gyrozetter was 5 years ago
>This season we have the Tomica show
I wouldn't call it a super robot series, it's been fairly modest with how mecha are used. They're common machines, with the Drive Heads only representing the newest models.
>>15509875
Aquarion Logos and 2015 was 7 years ago? Did I time travel?
>>15509875
you mean dynamic pro
>>15510231
Aquarion Logos is a Real robot
>>15510263
this
words exist
>>15510253
Wrong. Robot Girls Z, its sequel and Mazinger ZIP exist.
>>15509875
There's Bubuki Buranki and stuff like that. You're just not paying attention OP.
>>15510263
>Aquarion Logos is a Real robot
>>15509875
>he says when at least 90% of all mecha content made in the last few years are SRs
>>15510263
Is Love real?
>>15509875
By not having a shit taste, faggot.
What about Ougon Yuusha Goldran?
>>15511128
That show was released 20 years ago. How is it relevant?
Don't worry, Level-5 is here to save the genre.

Just in the most recent seasons and upcoming, we have these super robot anime
>atom the beginning
>ID-0
>Frame Arms Girls
>Tomica Hyper Rescue
>Knights and Magic
>Brave Witches
>Time Bokan
>Kuromukuro
>Majestic Prince
>Gundam Build Fighters
>Scared Rider XechS
>Soul Buster
>KanColle
>Cyborg 009
>Aquarion
and much more
Meanwhile, "real robot" offerings have consisted of bad Gundam side stories, shameless Gundam cash-ins and a failed Macross series. Enjoy!
>>15510175
It's a lot like an old Super Robot anime, with kid pilots and being more of a vehicle to sell toys than trying to have an engaging story. It just doesn't have the mecha doing impossibly powerful stuff. Yet.
>>15509875
>>15511331
Re:Creators (airing currently) has at least two giant robots in it. One of them is a super robot powered by magic. The other seems to be mostly a Gundam pastiche, but it's ginormous and described as an "Infinity God Machine" so who knows.
Though because they came from other worlds, both robots are completely unique, more powerful than anything else in the world, cannot be replicated, and break the laws of physics by existing, which probably qualifies them as Supers by default.
>>15511353
>being more of a vehicle to sell toys than trying to have an engaging story
You just described real robots. If you doubt me, just take a look at any Gundam tv series. Huge portions of the episodes are just new mobile suit of the week with no plot advancement or impact.
>>15509875
>>15511331
KanColle is not super robot.
>>15511353
>It's a lot like an old Super Robot anime
Specifically because the staff worked on such shows. The director worked on some Zoids stuff, while the writer had a hand in Dagwon and Gosaurer.
>>15511331
>KanColle
I wish they're actually cyborgs, though.
>>15511399
Let's not kid ourselves, pretty much all mecha is merchandise driven
>>15511520
NO
NOT GUNDAM
NO
>>15511535
So how bout them P-Bandai Exclusive Gunpla eh?
>>15511399
It is advertising toys, but it's not the main purpose of the show.
