What I meant was that the trilogy exists so that you don't have to watch the 0079 series. Also, you don't have to watch every long show to get into Gundam. That's an opinion, and a bad one at that. There's stuff for everyone, especially outside of the anime (which is probably the biggest audience of Gundam fans anyway).

I'm not saying you do however the bulk of the franchise consists of those shows so if you have time for any of those why wouldn't you have time to watch 079? What makes 079 so special that you have to rush it due to free time yet none of the other shows? There's a ton of reasons to recommend the movies but free time is one of the dumbest ones out there.

It's not really just matter of time, it's the fact that the movie trilogy is closer to what Tomino wanted out of 0079 to begin with. Also, I don't get what your problem is with people not having enough time.
