It's like Rocky II, giving the fans the ending they want. People want Ride to do this crazy revenge scheme and continue on the Tekkadan way of life, unwilling to admit that said way of doing things was a major factor of their own destruction. Hell, there's a very strong case to be made that Ride is a victim of indoctrination by Tekkadan.

No man, Age was the low point, nowadays it has been overshadowed by IBO. IBO the shittiest Gundam in the history of the franchise.
