Only if you want to make toys, sunrise controls the anime. Bandai has nothing to do with character design plot or anything.

Sunrise also has veto power over what designs get turned into merchandise, not Bandai.

I agree, I don't want Otaking to die by overshading.
I know the industry can't work unless things are like this, but I'd rather see it crashes and the number of anime made drastically decrease or whatever needs to happen to make things better for everyone. Sadly it'll possibly only change if more people die. But continuing like that will only end in disaster one day sooner or later. Just like the seiyuu idol system.
