What was up with Faiz's last episode? The Orphenoch King and the Lobster Orphenoch go into hiding to plot another day. Smart Brain just collapses on its own. Takumi might be going blind. It doesn't feel like a finale, more like a lead-in to a finale than anything. Given some of the dangling plot threads, was Inoue writing with expectation of a second season of Faiz? Because it felt that way.

I think that writer-san wants the ending to go deep into chaos. You can do that in a movie, but hardly in the show itself. So... show for happy ending, movie for full despair (and no haruto to save the day)

Does anyone else think that insert was fucking garbage? The song sucked shit and didn't match the scene at all, and it was too quiet on top of that. Really broke me out of the episode and I just had to cringe for the whole Perfect Knockout fight because of how they ruined the scene with the shitty music.
Poor writing and poorly directed Michael Bay-tier action scenes aside, one other thing I don't like about Ex-Aid is the shitty music placement. It's either a really awkwardly and inappropriate Excite being inserted, the same shitty 2 - 3 BGM tracks, or just an insert song that just sucks.

Gaim has one memorable character and that's Kaito. Gaim's suits are fine, but Ex-Aid's are incredible in my opinion, and the plot/pacing of Ex-Aid is leagues above Gaim's. Gaim tries too hard to be edgy and end of the world. I think Gaim is good, but the characters were shit and plot was pretty okay. But Ex-Aid improves by having a lot more enjoyable characters along with focusing on its characters. Nico, only like 29 episodes in, has had more development than a character like Mai had in the entire series.

I rewatched Wizard and Gaim recently, and I can say I was infinitely more entertained by Haruto's sassiness and deadpanned personality than I was at anything Kouta did in the entire series.

If we compare Emu and Kouta, it's no question Emu is the better protagonist. He has actual motivations and problems. When he does something against the other Riders, there's consequences that can fuck him over. We've seen Emu grow over the past 30 episodes and seen him solidify his own code of belief, even crying over Dan's death despite Dan being a total ass to everyone. The only thing that happened to Kouta was him being hopelessly optimistic at every turn, something shitty happening, and then him being upgraded. He forgave Micchy despite the fact that Micchy tried to murder everyone. Emu didn't forgive Dan for what he did, but he wanted to put Dan back on a good path and have him punished for his crimes.

Kind of. About two years ago, I made my own Ongeki drumsticks out of pvc pipe and starting trying to copy Hibiki's movements and practice fighting like Hibiki. Over the months I've built better sticks and started studying real stick based martial arts and taiko drumming performances, and incorporating that into my sperg rider copying hobby, turning into a sort of legitimate martial style. It's been great for getting in shape.

The story is a lot more complex than that for Hibiki.

At one point there was going to be a Henshin Ninja Arashi remake in the mid-2000s, fitting the style of the old school toku and anime remakes going on within that time-frame. This got canned for a multitude of reasons, and the only thing that remained were a few staff members along with the suit. This was most likely happening during Faiz.

The remaining staff, including Takatera I believe, started working on another toku using some plot elements from the Arashi remake and were going to call it "Ongeki Hibiki." Well come by like, very early Blade, this idea was dropped entirely. Once they began working on a new Rider towards the later parts of Blade, they just reused the name "Hibiki" and the concept of "Ongeki," but otherwise from what little we've seen of Ongeki Hibiki, they're nothing alike.

Ongeki Hibiki was also technically an Ishinomori remake as well, actually. He was working on it before his death, the remaining staff for the Arashi remake decided t otake on that concept instead.

People like to claim it became KR Hibiki at the last minute, but what bits of the creation timeline that are available online show a whole other story.

Toei had a plan ofr a Kamen Rider after Blade in mind, it was more a matter of taking scraps of a couple failed projects and applying them to an already semi-meshed out concept.
