I GOT A BURNIN' HEART
Frankly, I don't give a damn.

I can't stop listening to "from the aqueous star with love."
I don't know about the best, but FLYING IN THE SKY has always been my favorite and always gets me hyped up.

Are we counting OPs?

I know this is a really weird choice, but I feel like this is one of the only Gundam OPs whose sound perfectly reflected the show. It sort of sounded to me like the long, expansive journey through generations that AGE was supposed to bebefore it all went to shit

Though really you could just pick any Back-On song that's been in something Gundam.
DIS HEYUH IS MAH FAVE FIVE, DAWG
F91 song
Victory Next Episode
That Ten Years After song from 08th MS
Soldiers of Sorrow
That song when Amuro buries the Gundam, the GnR-sounding Andrew WK cover
most of the GBF soundtrack

Mizu no Hoshi really is a beautifully written song if you can get past the melody being snagged from Niel Sedaka, but
>>15478773
YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR DESTINY TOKI NO MUKOU
YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR FUTURE YAMI NO MUKOU
Ikutsu Mono Ai wo Kasanete is almost as good.

I was sad to read the guy who did those vocal songs killed himself.
RIP
>>15479269Beyond the Time and the final fight between Char and Amuro is the only reason I fondly remember CCA. Most of the movie was good, but Quess and Hathaway would have left me with a bitter taste had it not been for how well that song was used.
>>15478406
This is clearly The Winner
>>15479280
The first half had too much time dedicated to reestablishing exposition that didn't have much to do with what happened between ZZ and CCA, which is a shame since they were otherwise well-crafted scenes that deserved a lot of character development. Consequently, it can't possibly have the same level of complexity as Zeta even if it has stronger themes. What was so painful about Hathaway and Quess though?
>how well that song was used
It just keeps playing about 10 seconds after the credits are done rolling and then fades out. Quite underwhelming. With that said, the thematic relevance, rhythmic beauty, and perfect resolution for Char and Amuro more than make up for it.

>With that said, the thematic relevance, rhythmic beauty, and perfect resolution for Char and Amuro more than make up for it.
This is exactly what I meant. I should have probably avoided mentioning how it was used, since I agree it was kind of just tossed there.
A better way to do do it would have been to start the song during the Axis-shock, so that by the time the credits start rolling, the actual singing begins. As it is, the movie skips the first 45 or so seconds of the song to skip to the singing, so they could have done this.
>>15479338
>As it is, the movie skips the first 45 or so seconds of the song to skip to the singing, so they could have done this
Gotta get those CD sales
And running the credits over slow shots of people looking at the Axis Shock was unnecessary and caused them to end too abruptly, detracting from the conclusiveness. And the final line being, "It's veering away from Earth!" is pitiful.
SIIIIIIIIIIIILENT VOICE

Seriously, G Gundam's EDs are incredibly underrated.
"Fly! Gundam!" is a fucking banger.
As for endings, I honestly enjoyed ed 1 for IBO.
