Beyond the Time and the final fight between Char and Amuro is the only reason I fondly remember CCA. Most of the movie was good, but Quess and Hathaway would have left me with a bitter taste had it not been for how well that song was used.

This is exactly what I meant. I should have probably avoided mentioning how it was used, since I agree it was kind of just tossed there.

A better way to do do it would have been to start the song during the Axis-shock, so that by the time the credits start rolling, the actual singing begins. As it is, the movie skips the first 45 or so seconds of the song to skip to the singing, so they could have done this.

Gotta get those CD sales

And running the credits over slow shots of people looking at the Axis Shock was unnecessary and caused them to end too abruptly, detracting from the conclusiveness. And the final line being, "It's veering away from Earth!" is pitiful.
