Shit happens bruh. I had the same revelation in 2012. I started with Kiva (which was a mistake cuz that shit was trash). My next series was Agito and it got me hooked.

I only watch Showa because I think everyone in the General threads are fucking Manchild fags

KR and Sentai are good, but still "entrance level" in toku. There's a lot of great shows outside these 2 franchises: Garo, Ultraman, Kaiju shows, Henshin Heroes and Metal Heroes.

If I were you, give a chance to Metal Heroes: there are some really nice shows available now.

I've watched the original Garo and the first anime Garo and a couple of movies as well. I have several Metal Heroes series downloaded there's just way too much to watch.

There's still a lot of Kikaider related stuff to go through as well.

Tip: try to start with Juspion (from MegaBeastEmpire) OR Gavan (from Million Fold Curiosity) because there will be a crossover with Dekarangers in july, using Gavan as hero and the enemy from Juspion as villain.
