Left: Nagano
Middle: Okawara
Right: Fujita
Which rendition do you like best from these artists?

Middle. I like how the green bits give the torso a frog face.
>>15460204
Nagano. I just love how elegant yet imposing his MS design is.
>>15460204
Fujita
>>15460204
That wasn't actually Okawara's submission for the Mk-II though.
>>15460239
can't unsee
>>15460254
Isn't that intended to be his Zeta Gundam submission? I mean, it has the transformation gimmick that Bandai was really pushing for their fancy next-gen Gundam upgrade.

>Implying the vents and cockpit hatch don't form the face of a Monster Destroid wearing grill glasses

But that's Psycho Gundam.

Makoto Kobayashi

Mk-II and Zeta Gundam submissions were one and the same. Nagano's Mk-II is the same as his Zeta.
The actual Mk-II that we got is a combination of Nagano, Fujita, and Okawara's original designs.
Okawara's Mk-II was reused as Psycho Gundam same way Nagano's Mk-II/Zeta was reused as Hyaku Shiki.

The middle is the only one that actually looks like an RX-178 to me. That's not to say that the other two look bad, just that they look like completely different MS.
>>15460284
someone really needs to make a good compilation of all of Kobayashi's Gundam art, also for Kondo's(did Kondo ever draw the MK II by the way?)
>>15460337
Just check his Twitter. Kobayashi has hundreds of scraps he posts there.
>>15460339
well I meant more compiling it all into a nice ZIP file and putting it on MEGA or something, rather than have to trawl through a bunch of sites
>>15460337
We've had quite a few threads with dumps of their art. Usually all dumped together since it can be pretty easy to confuse the two.

>>15460403
yeah I've been in a lot of those, and I imagine one of the reasons they get dumped together is that their styles go together really well(yet remain reasonably distinct), as can be seen in the PC98 game Gundam: Return of Zeon;

The Okawara Titans version will always be my favorite. Fujita's is sort of neat, but strays too far from the UC aesthetic. Nagano's is fantastic, but I still prefer Okawara's for the more subdued silhouette.
>>15460322
Nagano' reminds me a lot of the Rick Dias and the one on the right has too much of an IBO waste for me
>>15460204
Left: Original, but redesigned as the Hyaku Shiki
Middle: Shitty redraw of Right
Right: Original design
>>15460204
As the Mk-II, Okawara's. I like Nagano's too but it has a strange "high" sci-fi look to it that makes it look a little too elegant for the era. It looks like it might fit in in Turn A or with some of G-Reco's G-IT created MS.
Don't like the spindly man on the right.

Both middle and right are Fujita's, just different iterations.
