I'm not in a camp of believing in things like watching "ironically" or so bad it's good. People just enjoy things without real logic from my experience. I'll explain, it was a great show to watch while it was airing because the plot knee jerks around leading to unexpected twists. This made the threads for it great when it was airing. It also doesn't itself seriously at times and does at others which makes it kind of weirs. Second season tries to play itself a lot more seriously than the first. Basically what I'm getting at is give it a try and decided. See if you can find the GG subs, if you're here for shits and giggles.

Valvrave essentially tries to be Code Geass, with its ridiculous break neck plot twist, general insanity and melodrama. Its not good though. Fun at the time and season 2 does try to be more straightforward.

I say watch a couple episodes and see what you think. Pretty sure there are some Cruncyroll rips from Horrible Subs around.

Don't expect to know who the kids is if you do watch it. I watched some of it just because I heard episode 10 was wild, and at the end, best girl got shafted.

So if you do watch it and finish it, read the final chapter of the manga afterwards.

I want to believe they were going somewhere with the story but had to cut down on the number of episodes due to unpopularity but it was still a mess for the first cour and an even bigger rushed mess in the second. The only good came out of the rape scene and /m/'s reaction

All things considered I think it stuck the landing in the end, even with the utterly ridiculous per-week pacing.

There was definitely a beginning and end planned, the journey may have been retooled along the way but there were checkpoints in place.

That the V-Team ultimately becomes known as the Golden Seven should suggest that they've become famous for their exploits one way or another, so it's highly unlikely all of Earth wants to wipe them out considering that they fucking dismantled an ancient conspiracy at great cost to their own like something out of a heroic legend.
