Just finished reading Robot Keiji. The ending was really abrupt

Yeah, it's really abrupt especially the stuff with the father and daughter. What are his most popular manga, anyway? I'm wondering if these are like his lesser works because they really pale in comparison to Sabu and Ichi's brilliant stories.

I haven't read Sabu and Ichi yet, but Cyborg 009 is pretty much considered his magnus opus. I read that too, and Ishinomori failed to give it an ending 3 times. The first ending was rejected by fans who weren't satisfied with it.

It was Jo Onodera, his son, who made the ending manga in recent years.

Wasn't the due to publishers and stuff he had no control over, though?

Sabu and Ichi is episodic so you don't have to worry about some lackluster epic conclusion like with the cyborg stuff.

I personally think the tokusatsu programs are pretty decent. They are outdated, but they're fairly low budgeted children's shows from the 70s so that ought to be expected.

As far as specific shows to look out for, it would probably be to check out one that doesn't have an immediately available manga to compare it to. Kaiketsu Zubat is definitely worth a watch, as is Akumaizer 3.

That's not to say that I don't like Kikaider, Inazuman, or Kamen Rider and don't think they're worth watching. They're just more likely to attract comparisons which may not be entirely fair since they tend to be different beasts from their manga counterparts.

Just keep in mind that Akumaizer isn't done being subbed yet, due to KIT shenanigans. Robot Detective has a toku as well, but not quite finished yet on MBE and Hi No Tori's end.

Also, Flash is considered superior to the first Inazuman show, but is raw only.
