I don't understand why the "suffering little girls" genre isn't more popular in /m/ anime
Also, why haven't you watched Brigadoon yet?
/m/ stuff in general is about heroism, suffering seems to be a turn off for the genre's audience.

I watched about half of it but the mood whiplash annoyed the fucking shit out of me

>he says when most /m/ shit has plenty of suffering, starting all the way from early days
Been almost 10 years since I watched that but I remember enjoying the shit out of it.

I did. It's a pretty good series.
I'm still mad about the duckfucker ending of Princess Tutu though.

>implying Fakir isn't writing the story to bring her back to human form someday

But Princess Tutu's ending was great.

Why would it be? Is it that surprising to you that watching kids suffer isn't most people's idea of entertainment? Or adults for that matter?

But /m/ anime is full of suffering?
In fact, most /m/ anime really gets off on youth suffering

I prefer fall from grace suffering. Characters getting what they want only to lose it. Then after that I love characters rising up from the ashes to get their lives back to some semblance of structure. I don't like suffering right out the gate. If a character is just getting the shit beaten out of them and I barely know them I don't really care and that distaste for watching the suffering of others beat the eagerness to watch them overcome the adversity.

I'm waiting for the BDs.

wow, people suffer in a setting with giant war machines blowing stuff up, what a shocker
the suffering is a byproduct not a selling point. It's fine to want your daily dose of torture porn but at least have the decency to know your goddamn place

(You) sure seem uppity about shit relating to cartoons made for (man)children.
