Normally, I would say that they can have a new designer, like for Case;Irvine and Finder, but I remembered that Shioyama is part of Takahashi's winning team and bread-and-butter when it comes to him directly making new major Votoms works that aren't novels. What a guy. Always kind to other artists, he drew so many of our dreams we can't even count. I mean, he did animation for Star of the Giants, Sally the Witch, Tiger Mask, the Robot Romance Trilogy, Daioja, Daltanious, Trider G7 and so on before he even made a name as a designer.

I love how Shioyama managed to make unique faces. Take Votoms, other than Chirico and his pallete-swap fluffy-haired version Ypsilon, every single character has a unique trait, hairstyle, cheekbones. This is something you usually see in more "comic" artists like Toriyama, Oda or the My Hero Academia guy. It's a huge loss. Samurai Troopers is the exception that confirms the rule, and then again they have enough difference between them

Don't think about it too much, but Shioyama also did six signed silkscreens back in '01, limited to a run of 200 per image. For instance, he did a no copy reprint of this panorama here >>15449883 and titled it senmu (戦夢) - "A dream of war".
