the only giant robot stuff I was exposed to when I was a kid were Voltron and Saber Rider. Not even Transformers aired in my country until Beast Wars. So I'm mostly nostalgic for cheap b-movies about killer robots which I used to watch on vhs all the time.

Man, I have fond memories of coming home to watch Beast Wars and Voltron and Speed Racer on TV and eating tuna sandwiches... I don't know what channel was airing both Speed Racer and Voltron in the mid 90's though, but I am 100% sure this isn't another one of my fever dreams.

I miss when Sci-Fi channel would should anime movies every blue moon. I watched Venus Wars when I was a kid and it blew me away. Then I saw Robotech and I was hooked for life.

I never had a vhs nor laserdisc player when I was growing up. If I wanted to watch anime I had to settle for what was being broadcast on tv. So God no, I'm not at all nostlagic for those times. Torrents, dvds, blu-rays, streaming is too good these days to want to go back to the

I know Voltron aired in the 90s because it was the first mecha show I ever saw although for over a decade I for some reason thought it was Saint Seiya and I don't know why.

If you were in the USA I want to say that might have been Foxkids, Kids WB, or UPN. I remember seeing like 1-2 episodes of speed racer randomly on public television as well, I just have NO clue what channel it was.
