Beetleborgs is pretty underrated. I don't mind the whole kid hero concept as much as other people did. I like the "show within a show coming to life" plot. Loved it when Digimon(sorta) did the same thing years later.

I remember having the White Beetleborg arc on VHS.

I watched B-Fighter. And its not very good. Only good thing about the show was Black Beet/Shadowborg being a main villain. Other than that, its a pretty generic "Kid of the week" toku.

Never really watched Beetleborgs, but the footage of the vehicles is very limited in B-Fighter. It's almost all stock with the same clips being used every time. That would probably be why they didn't use it.

I rented the VHS of beetleborgs when I was a kid and all I remember is a few stupid rhymes from bad guys

I remember having a toy of the gun they had when they were Metallix that used cards you insert in the back to change the sound it made. Each had numbers on it but I also had one with a picture of fire on it. Don't remember where that one came from.

The Blue SWAT+Janperson+B-fighter one? Its not very good either. It used that one monster the Beetleborgs defeated before becoming Metallix. Literally the only interesting thing about it was Kabuto(The White Beetleborg) needing to use a real gun to fight alongside with the rest. Which is also odd cause that would mean he counts as a Metal Hero as well. All the footage used for the White Beetleborg was American made. Kabuto was more of a comic relief that would show up for 2-3 episodes.

Unless you are talking about the B-Fighter+B-Fighter Kabuto one, then I don't know. I haven't seen B-Fighter Kabuto. But I have a feeling it might fare better I guess.

Black Beet is the AbareKiller/Kamen Rider Ouja of the season though. There are some good fight scenes with him. But the rest of the show is nothing special.
