That's what I was thinking as well. Amuro being brought back into space would mean that he reaches his peak OYW form again after getting past the rust, and that doesn't bode well for the Titans or Axis.

The only way to do that is to not insult Kamille, because Jerid in those games actually beats Kamille, and that can only happen if circumstances during those fights were in his favor. Having his friends help him won't change much considering Moaur was a non-factor in his Zeta vs Gabthley fights.

I think I read somewhere that he was supposed to die in that episode where where he goes nuclear, which is why the Japanese title for the episode was "Jerid's Suicide Attack", and why his character's development comes to a complete halt after episode 30.

That would explain why he suddenly went from a primary antagonist that could hold his own against Kamille to a secondary antagonist that barely got any screen time in the last 20 episodes. Oddly enough, I still liked Jerid more than any Zeta antagonist, including Yazan and Haman.
