Mika's an interesting case. His only character development is becoming more affectionate to those around him; he never becomes less bloodthirsty, he never starts to think for himself, and he never shows interest in bettering himself as a person. However his inability to change these things is clearly the point of the character. He's not all that interesting in his own right but it is interesting to see the difference in how the world sees him and who he is.
