It's a bizarre case because he goes into battle with a helmet only to take it off for no reason. Purple Zeon girls goes into battle helmetless and puts it on MIDBATTLE, that's stupid.

Yes, I hate the excuse of virtuallly invisible helmets. Just a lame excuse to show off some pretty boys hair. Delta's badguys also have this which is a shame because the baddy helmets look pretty cool.
