Are there any good IP's that deal with underwater warfare involving mechs? I can't find many good examples of aquatic mechs online so I thought I'd get /m/'s opinion.
I thought the Mars Daybreak was okay. Other than that I can't really name anything else besides certain sequences in Gundam.

'>good
Mars Daybreaks is what we got, but I wouldn't call it "good". Its characters are too cookie-cutter for that.

It was a decent watch. kind of comfy honestly

The mech looks neat.

Why haven't they made an underwater Gundam show yet? Hell, replace "space colonies" with "underwater colonies", throw in some underwater MS, newtype dolphins, and you're done.

Because not everything has to be fucking Gundam.

How mecha does it have to be? Giant robots or just mechanics as in boats and stuff? And how prominent does the underwater aspect have to be?
Blue Submarine no. 6 has underwater warfare, and so does Arpeggio of Blue Steel (it's entirely CG but has some really cool action sequences with the ships) but no giant robots.
Real Drive also has extensive underwater parts, but it's more mecha in the GiTS sense, with cyborgs and cyber stuff.
I don't recall how many fight scenes happened underwater, but Rinne no Lagrange also had the ocean and seaside being a prominent feature in the show. RahXephon also had the seaside in it I recall, but now I'm just going on a tangent with summer-y shows set near the sea.Which is the GOAT setting, in my opinion. There's just something about those japanese bugs, the ocean, the mood of summer, and mecha that goes perfectly together
I'm not personally aware of too many aquatic mecha series, but those are just some that are vaguely /m/ related and have the ocean and underwater stuff in them.

Yes it does

It'd help explain why Zeon made five gorillion aquatic MS.

Cool

If you like them older...

I wonder if the PS2 game ever explained what the Naval Witches were.

No argument there.
