Chapter 15 got translated yesterday, I might storytime it later tonight if anyone's interested.

If you want a tl;dr of it: Musashi is feeling inadequate and working hard in the simulator, then towards the end a new devolutionary beast shows up and pulls a Jinmen with a bunch of bystanders. The chapter ends on a cliff hanger after the professor confirms they'll have to kill them to kill the beast.
I'm glad to see Musashi igetting a little development, even if it involves him feeling down. I'm still holding on to the tiniest sliver of hope that they'll let him live this time, as unlikely as it happening is.

A theme of Devolution seems to be subverting the usual things that go in Getter storyline.
Ryouma is now the last to be in the Getter team and he's not the usual confident and usual crazy Ryouma.
All the meta talk about becoming the main character, previous Getter stories and Musashi mention he is trying to fulfill his role as "Musashi" in the latest seem intriguing enough.

It's interesting that it's a Getter story aware that it's a Getter story due to an experienced alternate dimension Ryoma, who appears to have been part of emperor for a time, informing them about what is going to happen and what is a constant in all timelines. This means the characters both know how they are supposed to act/achieve but also fight against fate. Emperor is ultimately a protector of humanity but at the same time they don't want to create another body for the will of these universe to dominate the planet.

It's an interesting idea and I'm enjoying it so far, but it's definitely still trying to find its place and sort itself out since its not even 20 chapters in.
