They destroyed any sense of tension when they had the princess fakeout-die 3 times in the first half alone.

The fact that, out of all of the people shot and 'killed' at the end of season 1, NONE of them actually died sort of shattered any illusion that characters would have any kind of reasonable consequences and not just be used for plot TWEEEEEST shock value.

How am I supposed to have any kind of emotional investment in the stakes if I know they don't matter? "Will Inaho lose this fight?" I dunno, does it fucking matter? I just saw him get shot in the fucking head at point blank range and he got better from that.
