Has anyone else noticed that "Beginning" by Daisuke Inoue in the third MSG movie is a clear ripoff of "Prince Rupert Awakes" by King Crimson?
Really sad that I missed out on those single release holographic dvds back in the day.

Doesn't surprise me that much desu. I mean I doubt King Crimson was credited for this but Tomino did the same thing for zeta but he did credit neil sedaka.

Jeez, with Beginning it didn't seem like a big deal given it was just one of the songs in the movie but
For an OP and ED to do it seems big, I guess that's why Neil was credited though

Apparently Prince Rupert, Canada is Amuro's birthplace (according to DWG2 anyway), any relation?
>>15368835
Not exactly canon, we don't even know if Prince Rupert, Canada exists in UC.
In the movies viewers are able to infer Amuro's hometown is somewhere along the west coast of Canada, because he goes there before they go before crossing the pacific but after they kill Garma in north west US and move up.
Zeta's second opening reminds me of careless whisper for some reason..

Yes, the beginning certainly does.

I got the one for Encounters in Space but don't have an American dvd player.

Yes.
Tfw no more progressive ripoffs
And Silent Voice from ZZ reminds of late soviet pop music.
