No. The entire teaser is lackluster and the design style they showed for Devilman does not raise my hopes. You also the animation was good, but there's no way to tell that because what little animation was shown was either sliding foreground/background stills and very limited character animation.

the manga was really far from having consistent proportions so this is far more true to the original than the Ghibli-esque OVAs and is obviously controlled, Yuasa-associated animators understand anatomy (better than Nagai in fact)

I guess you can say Nagai tries harder to draw "correctly" now but I doubt many seriously prefer the Devilman vs Getter Robo design over the 70s one

The teaser doesn't provide me with great confidence, but it's just a teaser. I wasn't on board Cyborg 009 vs Devilman till the trailer, not the teaser.

I feel like everyone complaining about 3D don't know who Yuasa is. Yuasa is excellent at making rotoscoping actually look good. Yuasa as director is always a sign of quality and means we are in for some interesting visuals and super fluid animation, hopefully he can real in Geass's writer because he is the only issue I have with this project and the only way this could get fucked up.

the only thing I'm a bit sad about is that it seems like it's gonna be another 'professional fanfiction' project. I'd like to see the original manga just get a full adaptation already; no one's actually done it. even the OVAs adapted the novels instead of the manga which had some really stupid changes.

Why do they keep saying Ay-mon. The name is Amon, pronounced ah-mon. Why do they all say it wrong? Akira/Amon sound terrible but Ryou is pretty good. As a whole I would say this dub for the Devilman half sucks.

The Cyborg 009 characters however sounds pretty good, although it annoys me they don't have accents and just talk in American accents. But a decent performance is already hard to find in English dubs so I'll take it.
