Literally so what? We don't have to be hyper specific down to the mech, especially in a franchise that is totally mecha.

In series like Sonic or Chrono Trigger where the whole game doesnt revolve around /m/ content it would make sense to pick specific memorable characters like Robo or Robotnik's Death Egg Robot, but there's no reason why we can't just appreciate retro games that are entirely /m/.

Besides, not like we can't just slap Zeta on the back of his jersey.

Not all boards can have threads; we're one of the lucky ones where it is tolerated to some degree, though as evidenced by our game day thread autosaging it's a finite degree.

Because of most other boards banning cup threads on sight a lot of interboard communication takes place in various discord and IRC channels.

/vr/ cup threads are nuked on sight. We usually have to start stealth retro soccer threads and hope the mods don't see it. That said, I believe most of the people that would be interested probably already browses /m/ (we've had lots of long-lasting mecha threads) so focusing the discussion here isn't that bad. There's always the discord and such too.

Very few boards are cup friendly. Barring /vg/ for obvious reasons, the ones that seem to be friendly are /sp/, /int/, /m/, /asp/, /toy/ (sometimes), /fit/, /mu/ and /pol/ (for what I could see). I think I saw threads in /o/ and /k/ as well. There may be more but I'm not sure.
