I never thought it'd take a toy commercial to make me realize war is bad m'kay

Not being involved in any major wars combined with geographical isolation left post-WWII Japanese with unrealistic views on the subject.

> Neither side is good or bad
The Zeon side in 8th MS team murders villages and immediately murders their own science team after the successful completion of their latest super weapon.
The Feddies... what? Treat one of their own officers badly after he engages in traitorous activity? Shoots down a fleeing Zeon ship after Zeon forces shoot at them first?
The feddies didn't do anything WRONG in 8th MS team. They just didn't have infinite patience and mercy in a fucking war that Zeon started.

Which in the eyes of Zeon fanboys is another holocaust.

>The Feddies... what? Treat one of their own officers badly after he engages in traitorous activity? Shoots down a fleeing Zeon ship after Zeon forces shoot at them first?
There is also the whole "let's keep sending our (limited number available) GMs into the enemy base so maybe, by remote chance, one of their nuclear powered engines could explode and take the whole enemy base with it". That is their military equivalent of "Let's throw shit on the wall and see what sticks"
And also, it's incredibly stupid, be it by means of military strategy or plot idea. I mean, many of us, I believe, watched the majority of the gundam series. And how much time have we seen some ms being hit in the wrong place, causing a nuclear explosion? Tell you, zero.

They didn't murder villages faggot. They held one captive as a temporary base without harming anyone, and then one guy acted like a faggot and the other two Zeons in his team threatened to shoot him immediately.
On top of that, Zeon forces are shown to be just as human and good to each other as federation forces are. Also the ship they shot down was a hospital ship, not one that was engaged in military activity in the time.
You're basically saying the actions of few define entire forces. Federation forces are shown to have just as many douchebags as Zeons and you seem to be overlooking it.
ur a faget

Lot of sneaky Zeeky threads the past few weeks.
This is a Feddie board.

how noble

What are you retarded

it was a joke senpai
>>15201410
>08th MS gives a front row seat of Zeon gassing a colony complete with civilians leaking blood from their pores
>But Zeon are good boys who dindu nuffin
Zeon apologists are completely delusional.

>And how much time have we seen some ms being hit in the wrong place, causing a nuclear explosion? Tell you, zero.
Amuro's very first kill causes a reactor explosion big enough to put a hole in Side 7. In F91 and Victory, there several instances of reactors going critical and causing large explosions, maybe not on the level of nukes, but still quite potent.

>Also the ship they shot down was a hospital ship, not one that was engaged in military activity in the time.
If the laws of war in Gundam are anything like the real world, then the Kerguelen probably wouldn't have qualified for protection as a hospital ship, since it was shown to clearly to be transporting weapons (the two Gouf Flight types are shown entering it's hangar). Not to mention that the Feds only have the word of Aina that it was a hospital ship, someone who as far as they knew, violated a ceasefire they themselves initiated as soon as it was convenient. A good lawyer could probably have gotten Ryer off.

> A good lawyer could probably have gotten Ryer off.
Presuming that anyone decided to press charges anyway.
It was a ship fleeing a top secret installation devoted to making a superweapon. Its a really easy sell to say that it was probably carrying the plans to make the very weapon that the feddies were there to destroy, they couldn't afford to let it leave. Putting wounded on a ship doesn't magically make it a hospital ship when you are using it to carry other valuable weapons and resources as well.
>Let's make a dedicated aviatic Mobile Suit
>Sounds great what do we use as the base?
>You know that close combat ground use only Gouf?
>Yeah let's use that as the base and only give it one ranged weapon
Fucking Zeon engineers are retarded
>>15201352
>zero
>one goes critical the first episode of the first series nearly ripping a colony apart
>Shiro outright says power of friendship is bullshit when you're about to die, and bails out to bang Zeon pussy after punching a super weapon in the face

Makes a welcome change from stereotypical weepy anime characters who have a mental break down at minor issues.
>CQB against an ace pilot
>Main gun ammo used up without a chance to reload
>Major damage
>Electronics disabled and circuit boards fried
>Going to be Coup de gras'd any moment now while being held as a human shield
You can give the guy some credit, anyone would be shitting their pants in that moment about saving their own skin from a pitch black locked out MS cockpit.

>Victory, there several instances of reactors going critical and causing large explosions, maybe not on the level of nukes, but still quite potent.
>Victory was literally MUH NUKES
Do you not remember when they came back to Earth to combat the Motorad Corps?

Best part of this show is that sniper GM gets some airtime.
