Well of course, that's obvious. Even Haman's Neo Zeon was much stronger that Char's. Which is why converting the Sides to his cause should have been an essential first step instead of trying to force everyone to live in space.

I feel like a full length 50 episode series really going into his attempt to create Zeon according to his ideals would have been preferable to what we got in CCA (even though it's pure mecha porn).

No shit, the point is it's a ridiculous gamble. He didn't even really want to decimate Earth because he gave the Feddies the psycoframe technology, giving Amuro a suit that outperformed his Sazabi.

Really the whole thing was Char working out his insecurities and emotional/metal hangups on a grand scale. It just feels rushed and not as well thought out as it could have been.

Xeon is the coolest faction but they have the most unbelievable motivations/ideologies. It's so fucking weak, made worse by their actions that are completely opposed to their stupid motivations in the first place.
