Because the bad guys NEED mobile armors to stay relevant in the fight where the Feddies can just deploy a second battalion to the same operation if need be

Also, and this is a BIG thing, they have the Gundam. Bad guys dont have and cant have the Gundam, so they need something just as killy, which means mobile armors. Which unfortunately dont beat the Gundam.

Except when we're talking about captured Gundam vs Gundam, which you'll notice results in a lot less mobile armors running around.

Dendrobium is debatable, some would say its an oversized booster pack for a Gundam, some could argue its an MA with a Gundam for an escape pod. Call it an exception to the rule.

Deep Striker is an oversized Gundam with way too many boosters and guns glued to it rather than an actual Mobile Armor.

Crossbone Vanguard's only MA was the Rafflesia, which was a secret weapon that most of the CV didn't even know about. Zanscare deployed just a handful of mobile armors, far fewer than you claim. A Doggorla in space and on Earth, a Recarl on earth that was more like a high speed strike ship than a mobile armor, and a Birknau that blew up just as it left its hangar.

The only one that might fit that claim is the Earth Alliance from CE.

Because it's a big scary thing for the hero to struggle and triumph over.

Hero units are usually your basic saber and rifle and maybe another tiny gimmick or two while the enemies have the flashy scary gimmicks for the hero to have to figure out to defeat.

Or at least it used to be. Lately everyone has gimmicks because they need to impress the model kit fans with newer and flashier doodads.

Not only were both Psyco Gundams built by the bad guys, the hero actually started out with a stolen Gundam MkII built by the bad guys so you're doubly wrong here.

The good guys get add-on MA rather than standalone piloted ones. The G-Fighter, G-Defenser, Mega Rider, G-Falcon, GN Arms, IBO's Booster, plus unpiloted ones like Dendrobium, Meteors, the Assault Pack.

There's also a few self-transporting add-ons like the Mega Launcher or Dynames' sniper thing.

I can't think of any examples of good-guys MA, so I'm guessing that Bandai's rule is that MA must still show the good-guy MS for Gunpla sales purposes?
