But I don't think people dislike him. His cover by The Megas is one of the more popular ones.

Well his Fisting weapon is marginally more useful than the Crash Bomb, which isn't saying much because it's still one of the less effective weapons in a game that itself didn't have the best weapon lineup.

That's about the only reason I can think of.

Looks like someones never played around with the MM3 weapon set. The only truly worthless on is Spark Shock. Gemini Laser isn't so hot itself, but in the right situations it can prove useful. Hard Knuckle is especially good since it's not only the strongest weapon but you can somewhat adjust its aim after being fired. Top Spin is god tier and tears through tons of regular-ass 'bots.

This is true. 3 & 4 had probably the most balanced and useful weapon sets in the NES series. However to people that only know how to spam the buster or metal blade, their weapon sets seem like crap.

So easy spam and really powerful. Shoulda remembered, because I used it against Metal Man, or else the Quick Boomerang. Whenever I had to fight something like a Returning Sniper Joe in the jumping armors I'd usually just use Air Shooter, or fight stuff like Hot Dogs with my mega buster.
