This was the very first book I started out with, I bought it when I was like 15 years old so it's been like 12 years that I've been drawing. To this day tho, light, shade color etc. fucks me up a lot. Tbh I don't really art as much as I should, it's mainly when the mood strikes which is like 60% I took a 5 year hiatus and the really hurt my skill so I'm still recovering

This is not so bad for an amateur. If you want to draw robots, copying from toys is my recommendation. They're basically a bunch of geometrical forms put together anyway. Just get the overall shape right and add the details later. It's not so hard. Start with simple shapes like old chogokin and move towards more complex model kits or modern toys when you're feeling more confident. Make sure to draw the forms in 3d, like a cube when you're drawing the form of a house, for example. Keep doing it and you will get good.
