Can Mario tell me if this is worth watching?
I'm not into Italian movies at all, but it's based on Jeeg, and Jeeg is fucking awesome.

it is not based on jeeg, it is a superhero movie.
It was a fun movie, if you like super hero movies go watch it.
>>15090015
That movie only has Jeeg references
>not into Italian movies at all
Since there's really no way you could know better, let me tell you this:
the ENTIRETY of the Italian film industry exists, in one way or another, due to making shit-terrible b movie knockoffs of American films.
They've been doing this shit since the 60s. Once in a while, you get a Sergio Leone or something, but for the most part you get some of the WORST. MOVIES. EVER.
Never trust a movie from Italy.
Source: I watch bad movies for fun, and Italy makes a lot of the worst.

this movie done a better crazy lex luthor than bvs.
it was a cool movie, even with the copy concept.

It's good but it's not as good as Getter Robo

I saw the trailer for this and was really confused.
Why did they call it Jeeg if it's not Jeeg?
>>15090780
But does he at least finish a guy by hugging him to death?

Cultural milestone. Jeeg is important for the protagonist and for the love interest as a symbol.
Before Japanese animus autism'ed (is that even a word) itself to death, some were household names in Italy. Today pretty much everyone knows what Hokuto no Ken or what Orange Road is: and a ton of smaller series (from kiddie stuff to teen stuff) managed to take their place into the collective Italian pop culture reference pool. Lupin III is particularly revered.
Sure, in the last 20 years the anime industry went full otaku mode and there are no contemporary equivalent of that, as normal children or teen do not watch anime any longer (nor anime is in on the air anymore, bar Dragon Ball reruns).
Being an industry of otakus for otakus by otakus has minuses.

Trying to get this concept across on /a/ is like drawing water from a stone
>E tu chi cazzo sei?
>Sono Irosci Scibba

Hah, HE DOES (the villain)
IT WAS A WOMAN.

That goes for every movie industry. It is your imperative duty to weed out the good from the bad.

France fucked up by not making enough Arsene Lupin TV series.
