I just started watching Comet Lucifer, what am I in for? Pic

You're in for something that could've been the greatest love story between a boy and his giant robot, except the people behind the show didn't realize it.

Why would you bother watching that?

I've seen too much non-/m/ stuff recently and most of it was boring ass junk. It's either this or continue watching Shougeki Gouraigain which is so tone deaf it's on Daitetsujin 17 levels.

I wanted to like it, and a lot of the side characters were actually fairly entertaining, but the story really did fall flat on its face after a few episodes.

Watch it if you like, but I suspect your time would be better spent elsewhere.

I thought the same for ConRevo, Rayearth, and Southern Cross, boy was I wrong on those! Plus ANN hates it, there must be redeeming value.

watching ep 7 now, there is a lack of suck so far. There is also more comedy than I thought there would be.

watching ep 11 now, there's still no suck, rather this series is great! No idea where the hate is coming from. I mean yeah the music and pacing could be improved, but otherwise this seems like classy real robot adventure shenanigans.
