Anyone think its weird that The Constructicons and Devestator

Both the constructicons and dinobots are functionally retarded so they go to the opposite sides that they should.

One of the Constructicons' origins in the cartoon is that they were former good guys brainwashed by Megatron long ago. I say "one of" since there was also a reference to Megatron creating them on Earth and one scene showing the Constructicons creating Megatron.

The seperate groups do their own thing. That's why the Stunticons are cars and the Aerialbots are planes.

In fact they specifically made those two groups to counter their sides lack of it.

I guess thematically it fits but subverting the themes is also a good thing, like the already mentioned example of stunticons and aerialbots.

On a related note, i recall thinking as a kid that soundwave looked like a good guy and jazz like an evil one.
