You must think T14 is the best tank.

>Gundaaaaaaam!
Absolutely. This is a first step for korea, but an impressive one nonetheless. Demonstrating an ability to have a legitimate balanced walk cycle is a pretty nice milestone. Everything above the waist is basically a sideshow. For the next version, I'm hoping they are able to solve the actuator speed issue, as that seems to be all that's keeping this model from a natural dynamic gait rather than actively centering the points of contact below the center of gravity.
Overall I'm impressed, and waiting excitedly for the next development to appear. Given the current pace we should see models good enough for televised labor fights within five years.

>rock em sock em robots
I literally can't wait. The thought of robot Olympics makes me literally horny.
I think creating a society that values the builders of sports stars rather then sports stars would probably be a more intelligent one
>>15063444
It would be about iconizing the pilot, not the bot.Fuck, now I have to start getting people together for building one here, I want to pilot that shit.
WHAT ABOUT FLIGHT

Aside from the engine problems, yes, it is.

Why is it that in everyone of these threads someone just HAS TO write some cringey dramatic greentext thinking it's the hottest shit?
Life isn't fucking WWE, even if giant robots become real for some reason it won't be LEL G-UNDAMUUUU!!!!1111!!!

>They can't carry as much as trains or ships

>They burn easily
>Airplanes only exist because rule of cool
>>15065590
They are much faster than ships, cars and trains.
Also, flying is quite the advantage in a couple of situations like getting over a mountain range without too much hassle.
Airplanes are useful, Mecha could be as well.

>Life isn't fucking WWE
The 45th President of the United States is literally in the WWE hall of fame, so I wouldn't be so sure about that.

>>15065506
Doesn't the Type 10 have the same problem?
>>15063450
Those TV shows like Robot Wars were about the robots more than the people holding the remote
Although if mecha fighting seriously became a major sport I could see both the pilots and the builders gaining fame in different circles.
>>15068554
A lot of people said that in the infant days of the plane.

Most modern tanks have shot traps.
Its not WW2 anymore, tank designers have bigger fish to fry.

The british bomber commando were certain that dropping explosives in the vincinity of Germany would make them all throw up their arms and surrender. I mean, that worked great on the English, so why wouldn't it work on the Germans, amirite?

>Airplanes are interesting toys but of no military value.
Marshal Ferdinand Foch
>>15070174
Everyone keeps going back to this one quote, but the fact remains that the military value of airplanes was obvious and had very broad support. Barring all that, analogy simply isn't an argument. The fact that one thing was dismissed and proved useful does not guarantee that another thing (and one which is wholly unlike the former) will be proven useful.
>>15070174
>one person saying one thing some how discounts the massive interest in military aviation during the 1910's
