The pacing was obnoxiously slow, calling it in the realm of "good" is very difficult especially since it had nothing going for it.

ConRevo is Big O done poorly and by people who had no idea what they were doing, the BD sales flopped epically because Japan caught on and realized it for what it was.

I watched it, and generally I can say that it's hardly bad. Certainly mediocre, which is a disappointment considering what it tries to do.

The jumping PoV around the timeline bullshit made it hard to get attached to one or more characters, and if you're not into moonhistory to a pretty decent degree all you're left with is an aesthetically weak anime that tries to pastiche one too many things at once with its limited runtime.
It doesn't help that its plot is way less convoluted than the constant jumps make it out to be, and it doesn't really say anything new about superheroes and mutants and magic and all that sht.

I thought the show was pretty neat, but I'm a bit of a sucker for shows about superhumans. I wound up picking up during season 2 so marathoning the first season may also have something to do with my positive impression.

If nothing else I found Jiro being a justicetard endearing and was invested in what lead to his splitting off. Also there were some rad fight scenes.

It was a cool show.
It truly showed us how a revolution would look concretely.
The government would prove to be way stronger than dumb angry teenagers, few deaths are actually considered a real tragedy and people with the burning fire of youth or great powers won't really accomplish anything worthwhile in life if all they do is only complain instead of taking real action.

All in all, it was a show that was about the old generation showing the new generation of today how they feared and failed at trying to make the world better, despite having the ability to do so.
It's up to the new generation to decide if they want to learn anything from the mistakes of the old guys.

Yeah, the engine expansion sequences were great if not a little long winded for being reused a couple of times. Standard engine launches while on the ground weren't too bad either from memory.

There's always something that could have been done better in hindsight.
